The Housekeeper must possess a minimum of 5 years’ demonstrable experience in similar high-level environments.
Provision of verifiable references from previous households is a mandatory requirement for our rigorous vetting process.
The Role of the Live-in Housekeeper
As a Live-in Housekeeper, your responsibilities will include:
Housekeeper – Cook
- Full responsibility for all service duties, including breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Meticulous care, cleaning, and correct storage of silverware, crystal, and fine china
- Responsibility for preparing high-quality family meals
- Management of occasional dinner parties and guest entertaining
- Expertise in healthy, fresh, family-style Italian cuisine
- Comprehensive pantry management and grocery procurement
- High-end residence management, including routine upkeep (floors, vacuuming, dusting) and deep cleaning (windows, drapery, seasonal tasks)
- Laundry and wardrobe management, including care of household linens and the family’s designer wardrobe
- Preservation and careful handling of luxury furnishings and fine art
- Adherence to professional standards, including wearing the uniform and white gloves provided by the family, as required
- Guest hospitality
- Coordination and supervision of external contractors, vendors, and maintenance personnel
- A genuine love of dogs is essential
Full availability for international travel and relocation with the family to seasonal residences (mountains, seaside, and yachts).
The candidate must be exceptionally flexible and capable of managing last-minute adjustments communicated by the household.
Superior organisational and time-management skills are essential; we are seeking individuals looking for a long-term professional commitment.
Must exhibit the highest standards of professionalism, initiative, and proactive problem-solving.
Punctuality, absolute reliability, and unwavering discretion regarding the family’s privacy are non-negotiable.
Position – Accommodation for the Housekeeper
The family is primarily based near Zurigo, Switzerland.
The Housekeeper will be provided with an independent, private residence located in close proximity to the family property.
Working Hours and Schedule
- Monday – Saturday
- Saturday afternoon and Sunday: Rest days.
- Flexibility is required as rest days may occasionally be taken separately.
- Maximum adaptability regarding shift changes is a prerequisite.
Language Proficiency
The Housekeeper must possess a high command of the Italian language. Fluent English is a plus.
Essential Requirements
- A valid Driving Licence (Category B) with extensive driving experience.
- Prior experience within high profile households with impeccable, verifiable references.
Commencement Date
Although the start date is yet to be confirmed, the selected Housekeeper is expected to be available to start as soon as possible.
Remuneration and Benefits
- Monthly Net Salary: CHF 4,000
- Additional Compensation: 13th-month salary & TFR (Severance Indemnity)
- Overtime: Remunerated as extra-duty pay
- Provision: Full Board and Private Accommodation (including utilities)
(Remuneration request exceeding the stated budget will only be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates with elite UHNW references).
