Tutoring and Training Services for Domestic Staff

Here at Xerendipity, we have long opposed the use of the term ‘domestic’ to describe our candidates.

The term ‘domestic worker’ often carries negative connotations, such as being uneducated, unskilled, unreliable and unable to speak English or Italian.

This is an unfair assessment of a valuable and growing profession.

The term ‘domestic’ is defined in the 1999 edition of Webster’s as: ‘pertaining to the home, family, or household affairs’.

Over the last 15 years, much of our work has focused on creating a globally recognised, well-respected, educated and adequately paid profession.

However, the term ‘domestic’ continues to be used to describe those who perform ‘cleaning’ and ‘housework’, which may appear to be less skilled services for private families.

However, referring to those who have achieved years of training in the field, as well as skills and expertise in managing domestic services, as “cleaning staff” is like defining an “architect” as a “carpenter”!

Tutoring and Training for Domestic Staff

Our private Domestic Staff training service allows us to completely personalise your staff’s learning.

First, we conduct a consultation to determine your learning objectives and the goals your domestic staff must achieve.

We then deliver the training through online video conferencing or in person at your residence.

Although both options allow us to teach participants theory and practical applications, in-person training is the most popular option among our clients.

Information about our Domestic Staff Tutoring and Training Service

Our Domestic Staff Training Service is superior to other programmes for two main reasons:

  • Personalised training – our trainers are the best in their field. They can quickly assess your domestic staff’s skill level and provide the necessary training to meet your desired service standards.
  • Active training – the goal of our active training is to provide a safe space to practise the desired skills. Building ‘muscle memory’ in a technical service such as this is more effective than simply studying books and manuals. From the fundamentals to advanced, nuanced psychological training, we help all domestic staff who participate in our courses to excel and achieve new learning goals and objectives. Having trained thousands of domestic staff, we understand that everyone is different. Our trainers can tailor our courses to your needs, ensuring you are always engaged and able to progress to the highest possible level.
